Students
We know that independent practices are only sustainable if the next generation are given the tools to succeed. Therefore at MFV we provide placements for university students with a keen interest in farm practice. All students will be set and achieve goals during their time with us and will be integrated and welcomed into the MFV office and team.

Our Services
Routine work
Fertility visits and pre booked work are important opportunities to review farm performance at regular intervals. Every farm is assigned a dedicated vet, but as a close-knit, experienced team, our clients will have the chance to form relationships with all the vets.
Health planning
Health planning goes far beyond a once yearly tick box exercise at MFV, we actively encourage regular data reviews and disease management discussions. We want to engage your whole farm team to drive improvements for your stock and business therefore we also offer on farm training courses, please chat to your vet to arrange.
Medicines
We always aim to provide medicines at competitive prices. We also offer set days for drug drop offs in each area we cover. Our vets will regularly review medicine use with farms to ensure you are using the most appropriate drugs for your animals and not wasting money, time or risking resistance.
emergencies
We know farming is an all day, everyday job, therefore when you phone us at any time of the day or night you’ll get straight through to one of the vets you know and trust. Nothing is more important than being able to communicate quickly in times of need and know that as a local practice we’ll be with you as soon as possible.
Vet Tech
Rosie, our qualified vet nurse, is available for routine jobs that take up your time such as vaccinations, disbudding and ROMS accredited mobility scoring.
TB Testing & Management
TB is not just a job to get out of the way at MFV, we take the infectious disease management and prevention of TB seriously. Alice is our in house TB tester and Ellen is a TBAS advisor offering free visits looking into preventing TB on farm.
